Fastest-Selling Music Gig In GIAF History

Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh are delighted to announce the return to the Festival Big Top of 2FM Live with Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.

 

2FM Live with Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra became the fastest selling music gig in Galway International Arts Festival’s 40-year history in 2017, with their Festival Big Top gig selling out in under an hour.

The unlikely collaborators went on to provide a sensational End of Festival party, tearing the roof off the Festival Big Top, with their Dance Anthems set performed live by Jenny and RTÉ’s incredible 48-piece Concert Orchestra.

 

Their return to Galway International Arts Festival 2018 will come as welcome news to the legion of fans who danced that memorable night away to club classic hits such as Silence, Adagio for Strings, Everybody’s Free, Insomnia and Missing.

 

With the amazing Gemma Sugrue back on vocals and Concert Orchestra conductor Gavin Murphy once again at the helm, Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh are thrilled to have this concert close out the biggest Festival Big Top line-up to date.

 

The incredible 2018 Festival Big Top line-up includes three-time Grammy Award winners and one of Q magazine’s ‘50 Bands to See Before You Die’ The Flaming Lips, The Stunning with special guests The Academic, pop legends Madness, indie sensation Caribou, the sensational Gavin James, alternative rock band Walking on Cars and one of Ireland’s biggest international successes of recent years, Kodaline, with even more gigs yet to be announced. Tickets for both Walking on Cars and Kodaline have already sold out.

 

2FM Live with Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will play the Festival Big Top on Sunday 29 July 2018. Tickets, priced at €49.50, will go on sale on Friday 20 April at 9am.

The 41th Galway International Arts Festival takes place from 16-29 July 2018, with the full programme set to be announced in mid May.
