Under 14 Feile Football League

Clara played Ferbane/Belmont on Wednesday last and won on a score line of 8-14 to 2-02. Under 14 Féile Hurling League

Clara made the short journey over to Rahan on Monday last to play Shamrock’s. We went in for the half time break 2-09 to 1-01 up. In a very one sided game Clara played some free flowing and quick hurling throughout and dominated all over the field. Despite clocking up numerous wides we went on to win on a full time score of Clara 6-17 to Shamrock’s 1-03. South West Tier 2 Football League

Clara travelled to Doon last Tuesday evening. Leading 5-05 to 0-03 at half time, Clara ended up running out comprehensive winners on a score line of 9-10 to 1-07. The Clara team was: Mark Fallon, Noel Buckley (0-01), John Flattery, Gavin Carroll, JJ Colsh, Robert McDonagh, Carl Stewart, Alan Gavin (1-01), Sean Nolan, John Reynolds (3-03), Tony Dalton (1-00), Josh Fleming (3-04), Callum Stewart (1-00). Minor Hurling League.

We welcomed our neighbours Tullamore over on Monday morning last in the first round of the minor hurling league. In a decent game Clara went in at the break leading 1-04 to 1-00 up. We followed up with 1-06 in the second half playing some good hurling at times. Minor Football League

Clara travelled to Ballinamere on Wednesday evening last to play Ballinamere/Durrow in the 1st round of the minor football league. Losing 2-09 to 0-04 at half time, we had an uphill battle on our hands. The team and substitutes who were introduced were up to the task and after a solid 30 minutes football we ran out narrow winners on a score line of 2-12 to 2-10. The Clara team was: Josh Fleming (1-00), Josh McCloskey, Ciaran Doyle, Ger Hackett, Brandon Tobella, Adam Owens (0-01), Conor Egan (0-03), Tommy Dolan, Darryl O’Brien, Cathal O’Meara, Seamus O’Brien (1-01), Eoin Cowen, Sean Tierney (0-01), Chris Egan (0-03) and Jack Meares. Lotto Results                                                                                   

The draw for the weekly club lotto took place on Sunday night last at Bingo. The numbers drawn were: 5-12-23-25. There was no winner of the jackpot. We had 6 match 3’s who receive €25 each. These were: Pascal Slammon, Chris Mannion, Mary Cartan, Mary Cutler, Liz & Trish and Dermot Kelly.

Next weeks’ jackpot is €16,600 and the draw will be held at Bingo on Sunday 10th April.

Blood Donation Clinic

The Blood Donation Clinic will take place in the GAA Centre on Monday 18th April from 3pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9.30pm. This is important as there are 3000 pints of blood needed every week in Ireland for vital operations.

Clara Musical Society

Clara GAA Club would like to wish Clara Musical Society the best of luck in the running of their upcoming show – ‘9 to 5’. This show will be held from 12th to 16th April starting at 8pm each night. It will be held in the Clara GAA Centre.
