Three Weeks To Get Those Plays Into Scripts Ireland’s Playwriting Festival

You have just three weeks to get your original play into SCRIPTS Ireland’s Playwriting Festival.

Dedicated to new Irish plays, SCRIPTS takes place across Birr, Co. Offaly from Sunday 3 July- Saturday 9 July 2016.

Playwrights (both established and emerging) are invited to submit original 15 minute plays on the theme Changes by Friday 8 April, 2016.

Plays will be chosen, by a selection panel headed by writer Eugene O’Brien, as the scripts most suited to development and performance at the headline event at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre.

Playwrights must be available to be in Birr from Sunday 3 July -Thursday 7 July as well as attend the performance on the final night.  Each play will be assigned a director and actors. The plays will be presented as staged readings at the headline event on Saturday 9 July.

Playwrights can submit plays by e-mail to submissions.scripts@gmail.com or by post to “Scripts” Birr Theatre & Arts Centre, Oxmantown Hall, Birr, Co. Offaly.
