Punters Getting Behind Enda Kenny To Remain As Taoiseach

BoyleSports can report that money has come back in for Enda Kenny to be the next Taoiseach which has seen his price harden into 1/4 from 4/9.

As a result, Micheál Martin who had been the subject of a gamble throughout the weekend has now drifted back out to 11/4 from 7/4. Leo Varadkar is priced at 5/1 with Richard Bruton currently 20/1 and Michael McGrath next in the betting at 25/1.

The odds of a revolving Taoiseach is now 7/4 having been initially installed at 8/1 just over two weeks ago.

Liam Glynn, BoyleSports’ spokesperson said: “It’s amazing how much politics can change in the space of 24 hours. Having seen support for Michaél Martin throughout the weekend the tables have turned yet again and it’s Enda Kenny that has hardened into 1/4 to be Ireland’s next Taoiseach.”

He added “The possibility of a revolving Taoiseach has been talked about and having initially being installed at 8/1, its current odds of 7/4 suggest that this is now a major possibility.”
