Taste For Travel: Free Training Event for Job Seekers with the Travel Professionals Skillnet

Job Seekers with an interest in developing a career in the outbound travel industry are invited to join the Travel Professionals Skillnet, Taste For Travel on 11th November 2014 in Templebar Hotel, Dublin 2 at 2:30pm.

The free Skillnet follows on from the announcement made by Pat Dawson CEO of the Irish Travel Agents Association earlier this year that Irish Travel Agents are seeking over 100 new staff. The Travel Professionals Skillnet is hosting the Taste For Travel event to give job seekers more information on the industry and training that is available free of charge to qualifying job seekers.

Training is available in a broad range of areas including; Management Development, Sales and Marketing, Health and Safety, and Technology.

Participation on half day or full day training events can provide job seekers with the opportunity to engage with the industry and to test their interest. It can also provide potential employers with a platform from which they can identify their future high-flyers.

The Travel Professionals Essential Skills Programme is due to kick off in the early 2015. This programme is exclusively for Job Seekers. It runs for 20 days classroom based training and 20 days work experience. Approximately 50% of participants from previous programmes have been successful in securing work as a result of their experience on this course.

Should you wish to sign up for Taste for Travel on the 11th November or find out more about training with the Travel Professionals Skillnet, you can register your interest at www.travelprofessionalsskillnet.eventbrite.ie, visit www.travelprofessionalsskillnet.ie or e-mail your CV and Cover Letter to fionnuala.carter@itaa.ie.
