Irish music stars take to the stage in Tullamore for fighting blindness

Concert to launch charity CD in aid of Irish patient-led charity Fighting Blindness

A charity concert in aid of Fighting Blindness will take place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Bank Holiday Monday, October 27 at 9pm. The concert, called ‘Vision Through The Sound Of Music’, will also launch a charity CD, a cover of ‘I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight’ by The Midnight Boogie Band and Johnny Brady.

‘Vision Through The Sound Of Music’ will feature a host of Irish stars including Mundy, Bagatelle, Simon Casey, Caroline J Harte, The Sheeran Family Band, The Davitt Country Band, The Murphys, Ciaran Rosney, Lucia Butler, The Midnight Boogie Band and Johnny Brady. As well as this great line-up, interval entertainment will be provided by dancers the Celtic Blondes.

The event will be hosted by Joe Cooney from Midlands Radio 3. Special guests on the night will include Phil Mack and Lisa from the Phil Mack Country Show on Irish TV, who will be recording live on the night.

Tickets for the charity concert are €25 and are available from the Tullamore Court Hotel reception or by calling 057 934 6666. The charity CD will be available to buy on the night, with all proceeds from the CD sales going directly to Fighting Blindness research. The price of the CD is €6 and it is also available to buy in Tullamore from Aidan Walsh Opticians, Clonminch Pharmacy and Mullins and Henry Opticians, and in Ballycumber from Egan’s shop and Gussie’s shop.

Fighting Blindness works with rare, genetic, age-related, and degenerative eye conditions that affect an estimated 224,000 people in Ireland.
