Junior B Football Championship Semi-Final Refixture
Clara made their way over to a well prepared Tubber pitch on Thursday evening to play Durrow in the refixed game after the official on the day made a score error in the original game. In front of a big crowd of supporters we made it hard on ourselves in the first half despite creating plenty of chances. A goal by Tony Dalton from a rebounded penalty on the stroke of half time was the killer blow for Durrow leaving it 1-05 to 0-05 after 30 minutes. At the break we regrouped knowing that we hadn’t played well in the first half. We came out a different team in the second half and we never looked like losing this game. As has being the case all year we had a mixture of young talented footballers and some experienced ones. We also scored 1-05 in the second half whilst playing fast open football and our back line looked extremely tight for the full game as we gave away very few scoring chances.
We ran out very comfortable winners  on a score-line of: Clara 2-10 Durrow 0-07. The Clara Team was : Mark Fallon, Padraig Henry, Chris Dwyer, Dermot Doolan, james Fleming, Carl Stewart, Shane Grennan, Sean Nolan, Willy Fleming, Johnny Hanamy, Enda Dunne (0-3), Geroge Robbins (0-2), Padraig Moran (1-0), Tony Dalton (1-01), James Stewart (0-4 2f)
