Cappincur opened the scoring with a point inside the first min before Raheen equalised with their first point 5 mins later. Then on 9 mins Raheen struck for their first goal to set them on their way when Dylan Hyland made a run into the square before laying it off to Ben Ridgeway who in turn passed it to Declan Byrne to fire it into the right corner of the net. Cappincur responded with 2 points before Raheen were in for goal no 2 when Declan Byrne took a free in midfield which Paddy Rigney caught around the 45m line and went on a run towards the square where he passed it to Ben Ridgeway who blasted it past the keeper into the net. Raheen added another point before they raised the green flag for the 3rd time on 21 mins when Ben Ridgeway made a run in from the left wing and dispatched it to the net himself and he added 2 more points before the end of the half either side of a point for Cappincur which saw Raheen with a healthy lead at the break 3-04 to 0-05. Again Cappincur were first off the mark in the 1st min of second half with a pointed free but over the next 20 mins Raheen steadily increased their lead as they added 4 points to Cappincur’s 2. Then with 3 mins left Raheen wrapped it up when a quick break downfield saw Dylan Hyland setup Paddy Rigney to fire in goal no 4 and Raheen completed their tally with the final point in the last min from Richie Reynolds.
