Clara GAA Notes 18th August

U10 HURLING
Clara U10 hurlers travelled to Banagher last Monday evening and played 3 great games against 3 very even and sporting teams, St Rynaghs, Shamrocks and Drumcullen. The games were close and there was lots of skill on show. Daryl Molloy started in Goal and moved effortlessy outfield. In defence James Dunne commanded the square helped by Conor Taylor and Kevin O’Keeffe. Callum Dunne played a sweeper role and showed a great ability to read the game. In mid-field Conor Doyle, Neil Robbins and Marcus Dalton caused all sorts of problems for their opposite numbers. In the forwards Eoghan Scanlon, Brian Buckley, Lewis Kavanagh and Tommy Bracken showed great ability with Tommy scoring a point from a sideline cut against St Rynaghs. Please note that training continues every Thurs.

Clara played Shamrocks on Wednesday evening last in the Minor Football Championship in Clara and won on a score line of 4-10 to 0-5. The Clara team was:

Monster Bingo
Clara GAA club will host a Monster Bingo in the GAA centre on Sunday 14th September. €4,500 in prize money must be won on the night. All support greatly appreciated.
WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO
Lotto results 16/08/14 Numbers drawn were 8-17-24-30. There was no winner of the Jackpot. There were 2 match 3 winners. These were: Seamus Doyle and Alanna Clarke. Next week’s draw is for €3,500 and takes place in Cowens at 10pm on Saturday night. Tickets are available from committee members and in premises throughout the town priced at €1.50.
