Re-Discover Your Bouncebackability

 

From Despicable Me to Resilient You! After a summer entertaining the kids and managing the challenges of establishing a healthy lifestyle in today’s always-on world, take a deep breath and come up for air in Cloughjordan Ecovillage where you can treat yourself to some me-time and re-discover your bouncebackability at Resilient You!, a two-day personal wellbeing weekend in Cloughjordan Ecovillage from 9am Saturday 21st September to 4pm Sunday 22nd September.

 

Resilient You! offers a unique opportunity to try out a number of practices and skills which can help you to relax and build your inner strength. It’s all about finding the technique that best helps you to cope with the little stresses and obstacles that life throws our way. All the sessions are suitable for complete beginners and for all levels of physical fitness. When you leave us, you’ll know if you want to progress and deepen you knowledge of any of these techniques. Our qualified trainers, who are all residence of Cloughjordan Ecovillage, will be happy to advise you about next steps. Resilient You! schedule includes:

 

  • 5Rhythms movement meditation practice is a new way to still your mind to bring you into the present moment
  • Loving Kindness Practice is a meditation practice that brings about positive attitudinal changes as it develops the quality of ‘loving-acceptance’
  • Tai Chi’s most important principles are relaxation and calmness, which come from concentrating on timing, sequence and correct form
  • Qigong is a series of slow, stretching exercises, coordinated with the breath, which stimulate and nourish the body’s internal organs so that they function at a higher level.
  • Food and Mood demonstrates that what you eat affects you physically and emotionally, and focuses on which foods to eat for a busy life, and which foods to avoid when you’re
    overwhelmed.
  • Emotional Resilience is the sense that one has value as a human being, worthy of respect for yourself and from others.
  • Stress management is the ability to recognise and deal with stress in your life, at a personal and work level, confident in knowing that ways to combat stress are easy to develop in all of us.
  • Life coaching is an opportunity to evaluate your skills, strengths, values and goals, and to learn techniques to help you to identify and achieve your objectives.

 

While you are here, enjoy the ambience of Ireland’s first Ecovillage, with its biodiversity trail, labyrinth, allotments and community woodland. Whether traveling alone or with friends, you will receive a warm welcome in the wider Cloughjordan community. Take an extra day and come on Friday September 20th for conviviality, culture and heritage during Culture Night 2013.

 

Cloughjordan Ecovillage is a leading contributor to education for sustainability.
