Asbourne and Purcell Cup
Congratulations to Lorraine Keena and Jean Brady on winning the Ashbourne Cup with WIT. Also well done to Eleanor Clendennan and Clare Keenaghan who were on the DCU team that won the Purcell cup. Offaly were very well represented over the weekend with 16 players taking part. U-16
Offaly U-16 Camogie continued with the progress made by winning the All Ireland B title in 2012 by having two panels compete in the Leinster A and B championship this year.
The opponents for both matches were Kilkenny and the matches were played in Johnstown on Sunday. The A team competed very well against the defending Leinster A champions but conceeded too many goals. The final score was Offaly 3-7 Kilkenny 6-7.
Offaly: Shannon Touhey, Shiofra Ryan, Roisin Egan, Olive Kearney, Clodagh McCormack, Aisling Brennan, Ann Daly, Sarah Walsh, Aisling Feeney, Mairead Jennings, Cailin Fitzgerald, Emma Kirwan, Aideen Freeman, Grainne Dolan, Terri Delaney.
The B team, many of whom are still U-15, started at a blistering pace and were rewarded with a fine goal from Kate Troy. They added two more points from Aoife Sweeney to leave the half time score 1-2 to 0-1. Offaly played against a gale force wind in the second half but the battled tirelessly for the 30 minutes. Kilkenny put the Offaly girls under immense pressure but they never gave up and held Kilkenny scoleless in the second half.

Both panels play Dublin in the next round of the Championship.
Minor
The Offaly minor panel continued their prepartions for the upcoming championship with a challenge match against Tipperary on Sunday in Roscrea. It was another good work out for the team.
Proposed new membership and fee structure system
RDO Lizzie Flynn & Ardchomhairle member Miriam O’Callaghan will make a presentation to all clubs on the proposed introduction of a new membership and membership fee system in 2014.
Clubs are asked to have at least two delegates in attendance as this needs to be then brought back to clubs for their vote and at the March County Board meeting a vote will be taken on Offaly’s decision to support the proposal or reject it.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 26 at 8pm in the GAA committee rooms at Kilcormac GAA club.
