On 10 mins Raheen got up and running getting on the scoreboard with a goal when a high ball came in from the wing and landed on the ground outside the square in front of Richie Reynolds who dribbled it in and round the keeper to the net. Raheen then added their first 2 points to Shamrocks 1 before Shamrocks dispatched their goal. The as the game went into stoppage time Raheen hit over 3 points in a row to go in front briefly before Shamrocks pointed a free with the final play of the half which left the sides level at the break 1-05 apiece. The first 10 mins of the second half were decisive as Shamrocks came out of the blocks with 4 points in a row to pull clear and could have gone further ahead when they were given a penalty but the shot came off the upright.
