Drumcullen GAA Club Notes

Lotto: Numbers Drawn were 08, 13, 14, 28. No Jackpot Winner. Promoters Prize was won by Catherine Troy. Next week’s Jackpot will be €7,000. There were no Match 3 Winners.

Golf Classic: This week is a busy week for the Club with the annual golf classic taking place on Friday and a busy weekend of Games. Spaces are filling up fast so please contact Toni Ryan to book a tee time 086 3889911. The Minor Club are also running a raffle on the day of the Golf Classic so all support appreciated.

 

Congratulations:

Congratulations to Damien Spain and Joseph Troy who represented Offaly in the Leinster Puck Fada competition and had a fantastic win. We all know Damien has a good puckout but well done to Joe Troy who is recovering well from his bad leg injury last year and trying to get back to full fitness. This was a great win and they now go forward to the All Ireland puck Fada as Leinster Champions.

 

Fixtures: The Senior Championship kicks off again this week and the Juniors are also in action. Our Minor hurlers are in action with Seir Kieran. The full fixtures are as follows;

Wed. 18th July:

JHC-A-Drumcullen v Killavilla                      in         Rath                Referee            – M Walsh       at 12 noon

 

U-10 & U8:

This weekend we will host the next round of the Under 10 hurling blitz’s and we would like to see all parents present to help out on Saturday Morning when the games kick off at 11am. Then on Monday evening we will host the next round of the Under 8 blitz competition and again all help appreciated.

 

Defibrilator: Drumcullen GAA club are seeking to gather names of persons qualified in the use of AED (defibrillator). If you are trained and certified at present and would like to have your name on the list, please contact Pamela Nugent. Anyone interested in undergoing training in this area, please contact Pamela Nugent.

Coaching: Anyone looking to get involved with helping out in the coming years will require a foundation coaching course, numbers permitting we can get one done in Rath. Contact Joe Troy on 0872794541.
