Cloughjordan Festival Launches 2012 Programme with Barbeque and Raffle

The programme for the Cloughjordan Festival 2012 will be launched in Bomber’s Railway Bar in Cloughjordan on Sunday 3 June at 6.00pm.

To help celebrate this year’s fantastic, event-filled five-day programme, the festival committee invites everyone to this free barbeque, which includes a pig on a spit, music and the Cloughjordan Festival fundraising raffle draw. Barbeque will be served from 6.30pm, and entertainment carries on into the night. The draw for the Cloughjordan Festival raffle, which includes outstanding cookery and dining prizes, will take place at 9pm.

The festival itself takes place from 27 June – 1 July and is jam packed with events to suit all the family. Some of the highlights over the 5 days include a singer/songwriting workshop with well-known Irish musician John Spillane, the Tipperary Green Business Showcase and a talk from Duncan Stewart on Green Business, a fundraising BBQ for Crumlin Street Hospital, the Cloughjordan Festival Busking Competition, Music on Main Street – an evening of free live music – and lots of sport, music, and art activities for kids and adults.

Copies of the programme will be available at the launch on 3 June, and you can also get full details from www.cloughjordanfestival.org and the Cloughjordan Festival facebook page.
