Offaly Design Week, 1st – 4th November 2011

Designhub, the collaborative network of designers based in Tullamore are hosting their third consecutive series of events during National Design Week. Design Week is a series of events that highlight design in Ireland, which encompass conferences, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions that will take place throughout the country. These events are not just targeted to designers and design enthusiasts but to the public, the professional, the client and the consumer. Designhub’s contribution in national design week is part of an on-going campaign to promote and highlight the benefits of design and innovative design thinking in Co.Offaly.

Tullamore will be alive with innovation and design activity as it hosts the largest number of events in the Midlands for Design Week. In the past year Designhub have noted a considerable increase in clients and businesses engaging in the process of design and a demand for innovative design solutions. “We believe that in order for enterprises to succeed and remain competitive in this current economic climate it is now necessary to look at creative solutions. New product introduction and product development is essential for growth. Accompanying product and service development a business needs to have a strong and recognisable corporate identity in terms of branding and environment. All of this can be achieved through design and there are some extremely talented designers in this country. Our objective going forward is to promote high standards of design and to foster creative and innovative thinking in local enterprise.”
