Golf Classic: The club’s Annual Golf Classic takes place on July 1 in Birr Golf Club. This has become one of the highlights of the year and with music on the night it promises to be another great event. The golf classic is one of the main fundraising activities and all support particularly in the current economic crisis is greatly appreciated. Golf team of four including dinner €200; Hole sponsorship €100; Tee box sponsorship €50. Results: Drumcullen suffered two defeats against Killeigh on Sunday in Rath in their first games in both the Junior and Junior C Hurling Championships. There was better news in Rath on Friday night in Rath as Drumcullen overcame Walsh Island in the first round of the Junior C Hurling Championship.
