On Tuesday evening our under tens travelled to doon to play der gaels in a challenge match. 22 boys from clara got to play and the match was a tough competitive encounter which will stand to our boys as the season unfolds. In the end Clara won out on a scoreline of 5-9 to 1-4.

On Saturday April 30th Clara under tens began their championship with a convincing 4-3 to 1-1 win over a skillful Tullamore side played in Kilcoursey. On a beautifully prepared pitch Clara got off to a great start with a Lorcan Cornally goal after 4 mins. Both teams exchanged scores to leave Clara ahead at half-time by 2-2 to 1-1. In the second half brilliant defending from Thomas Devine and Dylan Talor kept the visitors scoreless while Cormac Delaney and Aaron Tuohey controlled midfield. Further goals from Conor Dolan and Shane Gavin rounded off a well deserved win for this fine young team. A great start to manager Peter Delaney and his teams season.  Congratulations to Edward Cullen who was named under tens captain for the year ahead. Conor Dolan is vice captain. We would like to wish them and the whole squad every success in the season ahead.
