Clara GAA Notes
Intermediate Hurling Championship Clara opened their campaign in this years I.H.C. with a well deserved draw with Coolderry played on Easter Sunday. On an excellent prepared Rath pitch we drew with Coolderry on a score line of 1-13 to 0-16. Behind by four points at half time on a scoreline of 0-10 to 0-6, we had a very good second half and went in front by a point in the dying minutes with a Ross Brady goal but Coolderry equalised with the last puck of the game. A draw was a very fair result.
U21 Hurling Final The best of luck to Martin Hackett, Darren Scanlon, Barry Cushen, Eoin Wyer and Liam Monaghan who are part of the ballinamere gaels team that play Coolderry in the final this Sunday evening in O’Connor Park at 6pm.
Senior Football Championship All roads lead to Tubber on Friday night where Clara play Shamrocks in the first round of this years Senior Football Championship
Weekly Club Lotto Weekly Lotto 23-April-11. The winning numbers were 9-11-13-15. There were seven match three winners. These were Antoinette Geoghegan, Margaret Fleming, Del McMahon, Rebecca Newman, Tess Purcell, Peter Sheridan and Marian Holmes. Next weeks lotto takes place in Carey’s and the Jackpot is €2000. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.
Monster Bingo Clara GAA would like to thank everyone who came to the Monster Bingo last Sunday night. An enjoyable night was had by all.
Membership The subscription of 20 Euro for all the walkers who use the grounds in Kilcoursey is now due and can be paid to any member of the committee
