Weekly Club Lotto

Weekly Lotto 29-Jan-11. There was no winner of the weekly club Lotto jackpot. The winning numbers were 10-16-22-28. There were seventeen match three winners. These were Tess Purcell, Aggie Dunne, Betty Cronly, Nan Daly, Keith Bracken, Kathleen Quinlan, Lily Guilfoyle, John McGrath, Patricia Smollen, Joe Quinn, Barbara Eivers, John Murray, Liam Handy, Vera Kelly, Gilby Hogan, Vicky Fleming and Tom Kinahan. Next weeks lotto takes place in Cowens and the Jackpot is €3500. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.

Membership

Membership for the year 2011 is now due. Membership for the following year 2011 is the same as 2010.

Adult playing member €50, Ordinary member €20, Underage player €20, Walkers (associate members) €20, Senior citizens €10, Registration for life members €2, Life member €250

Bord Na Nog

Attention: Can all underage football mentors and anyone else who is interested in being involved with the underage football teams please be at the football field (Mannerings) at 11.00 a.m. on Saturday next 5th February to attend a mentors coaching session from 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Please bring warm gear and football boots. A full attendance of mentors is required.

U8 INDOOR HURLING LEAGUE

All roads lead to the Clara GAA Social centre next Tues 8th Feb for the start of the 2011 indoor hurling league. The boys have two very good training sessions under their belts and the teams have been picked. Please check the Post Office window and the social centre window this weekend for teams and fixtures for the next six weeks league matches which will culminate in the finals for the Tom Naughton Cup, Tommy Dolan Cup and the Ber Cowen Cup. All players must be present at 6.45pm sharp on Tues for photos and to collect their team jersey.

Offaly Vocational Schools Football

Well done to Barry Cushen (Captain), Robert Mitchell, Stephen O’Brien and Wayne Flanagan who were members of the Offaly Vocational Schools team that beat Dublin in the Leinster Quarter Final. Well done also to Brian Gavin and John Reynolds who are selectors. Best of luck to the lads who play Meath this Wednesday 2nd February in Geashill at 3.45pm in the Semi Final.

Yearly Lotto Subscription

The yearly Lotto subscription of €75 for the year 2011 is now due and can be paid to any committee member. If there is anybody who is living away and would like to subscribe to the Lotto, please contact any member of the committee.

“Sponsor a Sod”- Clara GAA club would like to invite all current and past members (and anyone with any connection to the club, no matter how tenuous!) to be part of the launch of the new official Clara GAA Club website and the ‘Sponsor a Sod’ campaign. As part of our fund raising campaign to complete the new Championship pitch in Kilcoursey members and friends of the club are invited to sponsor a sod on the new pitch. Sponsors will receive a piece of the virtual pitch on a special page on our new website with each “sod” being added piece by piece to the page. Each “sod” can be purchased for €20 from any committee member .Log onto anclarach.com to see how our pitch is doing.
