Slieve Bloom Photography Club

The Slieve Bloom Photography club are proudly presenting their first photography exhibition in the Bridge Centre, Tullamore from the 27th of Sept till Monday the 11th of Oct. A small group of enthusiasts from Ballyboy recognised the need for a photography club in the area thus establishing the Slieve bloom photography club in July of 2009. The first year has been a total success satisfying the needs of it sixty plus membership base in all aspects of photography. The membership is made up of beginners, accomplished amateurs and professional photographers which is an ideal mix for a prefect friendly learning environment. Geographically the members are from Birr, Ballyboy, Kilcormac, Cadamstown, Daingean, Edenderry, Ferbane, Killbeggan, Mucklagh and Tullamore to name but a few. The club meets on the last Wednesday of every month in the Court Hotel in Tullamore at 8:00pm which is a change of venue as they used to meet in St Mary’s parish centre. The Committee and members of the club would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank St Mary’s parish centre for being excellent hosts over the past year. So if you have an interest in photography and you own a compact, film or DSLR camera get yourself to the Court Hotel in Tullamore on Wednesday the 27th of October at 8pm to find out how you can join this very proactive club as new members are always welcome.
