Weekly Club Lotto

Weekly Lotto 09-Oct-10. There was no winner of the weekly club Lotto jackpot. The winning numbers were 9-12-13-21. There were four match three winners and they were Marie Egan, Kathleen Kavanagh, Essie Lynam and Anne Marie Mannerings. Next weeks lotto takes place in Carey’s and the Jackpot is €5150. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.

Hurling County Finals

Best of luck to Brian Gavin and Catch Buckley who are refereeing the Senior and Intermediate Hurling Championship Finals respectively this week.

Senior Football Final

Hard luck to the Clara team and management on losing the senior final.

Clara GAA would like to thank the Clara Town Band who greeted the team on Sunday night after the final. We would also like to thank the crowd who turned out in such great numbers. The Chairman Michael Sheridan spoke and thanked the crowd for coming out on what is the 50th anniversary of the first senior football win in 1960. He also thanked the players and management for giving us two great years. Thomas Deehan the spoke as captain of the team and thanked the crowd and management.

“Sponsor a Sod”- Clara GAA club would like to invite all current and past members (and anyone with any connection to the club, no matter how tenuous!) to be part of the launch of the new official Clara GAA Club website and the ‘Sponsor a Sod’ campaign. As part of our fund raising campaign to complete the new Championship pitch in Kilcoursey members and friends of the club are invited to sponsor a sod on the new pitch. Sponsors will receive a piece of the virtual pitch on a special page on our new website with each “sod” being added piece by piece to the page. Each “sod” can be purchased for €20 from any committee member .Log onto anclarach.com to see how our pitch is doing.
